Ground fighting/self defense is an important aspect of becoming a well rounded martial artist. Being able to protect one's self on the ground is beneficial so we may get back on our feet, where we are most comfortable.
Conditioning the body is an important aspect when trying to "look fit" and stay in shape. Stegnthening the muscles will allow us to reinforce basic techniques learned in class.
